Epsilionartndesign "Fight for freedom"
With a raised hand in the center holding the quintessential symbols of freedom in Portugal and Greece—the bright red carnation and the white dove with outstretched wings – the new mural by street artist Yannis Ermides at the 7th Gymnasium of Halandri perfectly captures the common need that united the thousands who took to the streets to overthrow the dictatorship of António de Oliveira Salazar with those who had rebelled at the Polytechnic in 1973.
Friz "Metamorphosis"
To mark the upcoming 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Greece and Ireland in 2025, the Irish Embassy in Greece recently unveiled a 16-meter-high mural at the 76th Primary School of Athens in Petralona. The mural features elements from Irish and Greek mythology and was created by renowned Irish muralist FRIZ.
Jack Lack "Prestigious goods"
Walking in Vyronas, on Fleming Street, if you look up, you will see a large mural inspired by the wildflowers and beneficial herbs of Hymettus and the Attica region. The title of the new work is "Prestigious Goods" and its creator is Jack Lack, a German artist from Stuttgart who spent the summer months in Greece.
Vyronas School Streets 2023
The "School Streets 2023" festival was a huge success! The Municipality of Vyronas participated in "European Mobility Week" with a two-day event dedicated to sustainable and safe transportation for students. Well-known Greek street artists painted six crosswalks on Tatoulon Street, in front of the Ergani School Complex, creating an equal number of asphalt art works.
Mister Copy "Athena"
Mister Copy is a South African street artist based in Paris known for his distinctive style blending photorealism with graffiti, featuring realistic portraits, 45-degree lines, drips, and halos to create modern myths and folklore. His work often combines ancient tales with contemporary elements, seen in large-scale murals that explore mythology, legends, and vibrant storytelling.
Millo "A sea tale"
The year 2023 marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of the great Italian writer Italo Calvino. The internationally renowned Italian muralist Millo, wishing to pay tribute to the inexhaustible creativity and imagination of his beloved writer, came to Greece to create a large-scale mural.
1st Chalandri Street Art Festival
On the occasion of World Street Art and Free Expression in Public Spaces Day, the Municipality of Halandri is organizing the 1st Street Art Festival, with the participation of street art and graffiti artists, musical groups, acrobatic groups, DJs, and a workshop for young and old, on the weekend of October 29 & 30 2022
Yessiow & Stijn, Vyronas municipality
A new mural on the theme of mutual aid and the feeling of unity between people was recently created in the Municipality of Vyronas. The work depicts people comforting and emotionally supporting each other, support that is as important as material support. At the same time, these figures are also a symbol of the strengthening and enrichment of communities through migration and the mixing of cultures.
2nd Vyronas Street Art Festival
Commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Asia Minor Catastrophe, the Municipality of Vyronas, as the first urban refugee settlement in Greece will pay tribute, drawing inspiration from the great culture of the Asia Minor refugees: music, literature, dance and their social customs.

Celebrating the 200th anniversary of the outbreak of the country's Independence War against the Ottoman rule and the philhellenes who donated their property and often their lives for the idea of Greek independence, the most famous of which was Lord Byron, ten distinguished street artists answered the question "Can philhellenism and the struggle for freedom work as a source of inspiration?"
